| Producr specs | Alpaca Wool Soil Amendment is an organic supplement to your gardening needs. Alpaca and wool dirty manure mixed fibers is finely chopped and compressed into pelletized form. These pellets expands with water and breaks down into a soft product which absorbs water retaining it for the plants need as the soil dries up. An airiation process occurs as the soft pellet take up expanded space. The wool in the amendment wicks water from the soil and holds it until the plants roots absorbs the extra moisture. Lastly, the thirds (waste) fiber generally has manure mixed in which when the pellet expands release nutrition into and around the roots. Use by dropping about 5 pellets when you are planting seeds before covering with soil. When mixing potting soil add 1/2 cup to gallon of soil for a perfect potting soil blend. Lastly just sprinkle pellets around your plants and gentle work into the soil. Putting a ring of pellets around your plants works at a slug repellant. Wool pellets effectively deter slugs and snails because their rough, barbed texture, and the salt from sheep's sweat glands, irritate the slugs' feet and create a barrier they find unpleasant to crawl over |
